Since 1.35, an ActiveMovie window pops up when watching DVD with Media Player Classic. With 1.34 all works fine, without this annoying window. Is there a way to prevent it from popping up?

recently i install mega codec pack. i m facing some problems with video colors. i have the geforce 5600fx and every time i restart my computer i have to go to geforce5600 properties and set manually the color. is there any posible way to corect that . sound now is better . keep up the good work !!! thank y

I have to give this version (1.29) a 4 instead of a 5 because... AUDIO STOPED WORKING in Windows Media Player 10!!! ¿?¿?¿? I'm very confused. Everything playes 100% with Classic, BSPlayer and VLC (the ones I mostly use) but not that one.

Curiously audio plays ok on Windows Movie Maker. Strange... very strange.

New mega codec pack wont install Realmedia and Quicktime sucessfully in new Opera 8.

Opera 8 does not create "Plugins" directory in it's root folder and is being overlooked by Mega Codec Pack installer.

This affects only fresh(clean) installaions of Opera 8. Mega codec pack 1.28 also suffers from this problem.


In every other aspect it's a really great Package :)

Aight, I had troubles on my and one of my friend's PCs using the latest 1.26 Version. Downgrading to 1.20 now again, everything seems smooth (Problems were: Every app that tried to play video crashed after some seconds on some MPEG4-files).

Why don't you include the latest version of AC3Filter, currently v1.02??
Version 0.70b is almost 2 years old, the newest is available on this very web site at:

Great codec pack, offering support for every file I've ever wished to use. Easy to install, easy to uninstall - which you should do when you install newer versions, and I've had no problems with spyware.

I use K-Lite Mega Codec Pack since it's first versions and recommend it to all my friends ;) Really useful pack.

But the best video-quality now in Nero Digital AVC codec... and unfortunately it isn't supported by K-Lite yet. I know only one codec pack, includes native ND AVC decoder: ~Edited by Administrator~
Last versions of FFDShow supports ND AVC too, but it is also not included in K-Lite...

The ultimate codec pack - never seen better myself.

Two annyoing things though:
1) No possibility to later change your mind and change/remove specific codecs. One can only totally install or uninstall.

2) After uninstalling, the codec pack itself leaves behind a file called "%SystemRoot%\System32\cpuinf32.dll" and some registry settings of specific codecs.

got 1.16 great codec pack! got issues with VLC though after installing the codec pack. playing movies in VLC after the instal results in the movies having a bluish tint :)

Ive used k-lite mega for a year or so with no problems....
But theres something wrong with the 1.16 mega and the 2.34 versions. I had to system restore on one machine to clear up regsvr.exe and activemovie window problems on XP Pro SP2 and the machine i'm on now is gonna need the same treatment i think. Mega pack 1.03 is fine.

As usual, you can't play some files using the default instalations (ie: *.ogm, *.midi,...) and it still installs some unnecessary plugins such as *.mp3, *.wma...

Unfortunately bad codec pack. It is't subjective opinion.
After very slow (!) installation there was many problems: in most applications there was no sound while playing video and sound files. While playing video there was no sound in all applications in Windows XP!
Please advise another big (~20 MBytes) codec pack.
