Hi,

It run great with XP, but... how to install it or, how to know if it's installed (in Seven 64bit) ?

I can't get pictures in VirtualDubMod (1.5.10.2), even with ffdshow:
"Couldn't locate decompressor for format 'FFVH' (unknown)..."

I tried with 64 and 32bit versions of ffdshow, but it is the same.

"HuffYUV is a ... lossless ... codec."

It is simply not true! YUV422 is lossy by nature because the chroma components are subsampled.
However it can be considered lossless in case your source is a native YUV422 data, which is true in most cases. But still calling it lossless in general is false.

You can expect an average compression rate of ~4:1 (lossy) compared to YUV444 (or RGB24) and ~3:1 (lossless) vs YUV422.

In practice it works quite well when it doesn't crash... Unfortunately that happens often randomly.

Having problems with Premiere Pro 2, when you press any button after modifying the encoder settings, it closes Premiere automatically, without warning.

I realy liked the 2.1.1 using it to out put lossless AVIs from After Effects 5.5. But now I can't get it to work on my new workstation with after effects 7.0 running win64... Is this a known problem?

I only partially agree. Huffyuv 2.2.0 seems to have a problem with RGB-encoded files. It indeed manages to crash every application (e.g. Virtualdub, Premiere, Media Player Classic) that try to playback files that were encoded with the RGB compression method.

However if you choose the "
